How we are different
Most online file converters upload your file to a server, process it there, and ask you to trust that the result is deleted afterwards. ToolboxDesk avoids that risk entirely: every conversion, compression and edit runs in your browser using WebAssembly and native browser APIs. No file ever leaves your device.
- No upload. Files are processed locally and never sent to any server.
- No signup. No account, no email, no paywall.
- No tracking of file contents. Analytics records anonymous usage events only.
- Works offline. Once a tool page loads, it keeps working without a connection.

Open source under the hood
The tools rely on well-known open source libraries: heic-to, pdf-lib, pdf.js, jsPDF, jszip, qr-code-styling and ffmpeg.wasm among others. Each library runs inside your browser; we do not patch them on a server.
Maintenance
ToolboxDesk is built and maintained as a small independent project, not a venture-funded startup. Tools are added when there is a clear missing piece, and existing tools are revisited when browser APIs change. Each tool page shows the date it was last updated.
