How to use
- Drop or select a video. Drag your MP4, MOV, or WebM file into the drop zone, or click to choose. Everything stays in your browser.
- Trim the clip. Drag the start and end handles on the timeline to keep only the part you want. Use arrow keys for fine adjustment.
- Pick a quality preset. Choose Fast (360p / 10fps), Balanced (480p / 12fps), or High Quality (540p / 15fps). The estimated file size updates live.

How do I keep my GIF under Discord 8MB or Slack limits?
Use the Fast preset (360p / 10fps) and trim to under 5 seconds. The live size estimate next to each preset shows what to expect before converting.
Why is the GIF larger than my original video?
GIF compresses each frame independently and is limited to 256 colors per frame, so it is much less efficient than modern video codecs (H.264, VP9). Reduce width, FPS, or duration to get a smaller file.
Will there be a watermark?
No. There is no watermark on any output, ever. The conversion happens locally in your browser.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser using WebAssembly. The video file never leaves your device.
Does this work on iPhone or Android?
Yes, in modern Safari and Chrome. Mobile browsers have stricter memory limits, so we recommend keeping clips under 30 seconds at 480p or less.
Can I make a GIF with a transparent background?
Only if the source video itself has an alpha channel (rare, mostly WebM/VP8 with alpha or some ProRes MOV files). Most MP4 sources do not.
What is the maximum video length or size?
It depends on your device memory. As a rule of thumb: up to 30 seconds and 100MB on mobile, up to 5 minutes and 500MB on desktop.
