Compress JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC images in your browser

About this tool

Batch Image Optimizer is a free image compression tool that re-encodes JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC files to WebP or JPG against a target size like 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB. It also resizes the longest side, removes EXIF metadata, and bundles many results into a ZIP — handy for blog images, shopping mall photos and form-submission attachments that need to fit a strict file-size limit.

How to use

  1. Add images. Drop JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC images into the upload area, or click to choose files from your device.
  2. Pick a preset or target size. Choose WebP or JPG output, then select a target size such as 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB.
  3. Adjust resize and metadata options. Optionally limit the longest side and remove location or capture metadata while keeping the original files unchanged.
  4. Optimize and download. Run the optimizer, review the result rows below the button, then download one file or save multiple results as a ZIP archive.

FAQ

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Images are decoded, resized and encoded inside your browser. The files are not uploaded to our server.

Can it hit an exact file size?

The optimizer tries to stay under the target size with the best possible quality. Exact byte-for-byte size is not guaranteed because browser encoders differ.

Which output format should I use?

Use WebP for blogs and websites when small file size matters. Use JPG when you need broad compatibility for forms, shops or messaging apps.

What happens to EXIF and GPS data?

Re-encoded images remove metadata by default, which helps reduce file size and protects location or camera information.

Does HEIC work?

HEIC and HEIF files are supported through browser-side decoding. Some rare HEIC variants may fail on mobile browsers because of memory limits.

How do I reduce image file size without installing software?

Use this tool directly in your browser — no download, no account. Drop your images, set a target size or quality, and download the compressed results instantly.
